100% on-site role in Madison, WI at a 263,000 sq. ft. GMP facility specializing in mammalian cell line engineering and biomanufacturing with single-use systems.

About the role

This entry-level, non-laboratory position in the Staging Department supports the transfer of raw materials and semi-finished goods from storage to production areas. You will stage materials at specific times, quantities, and locations while adhering to cGMP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, stock, verify, identify inventory, and deliver materials using FEFO (First Expiry First Out) basis
  • Execute and document cGMP biomanufacturing activities; support SOP and Job Aid (JA) completion
  • Stage raw materials and components for production using DSI scanners, mobile devices, and computers to maintain accurate inventory spreadsheets
  • Perform housekeeping, equipment cleaning, waste disposal, and adhere to 5S standards
  • Manage work orders: print, pick, stage materials, issue to production, and close work orders upon completion
  • Support production and lab materials replenishment
  • Complete inventory cycle count activities as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 1+ years of experience in cold storage material handling, shipping, or material operations (highly preferred)
  • Experience with JD Edwards (ERP), Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams (highly preferred)
  • Prior experience operating warehouse equipment (handheld scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) (preferred)
  • Prior pharmaceutical or food manufacturing/processing, cGMP, GDP, or GLP experience (preferred)

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to see, hear, read, and write clear English
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading documents, and using a computer monitor screen
  • Frequent reaching with hands and arms, talking, writing, and listening
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, carrying, and grasping
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds; occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
  • Must comply with EHS responsibilities
