Technician I, Quality Assurance (35250)

Responsibilities

• Gather samples to perform weight, moisture, salometer and pH checks on product
• Complete all quality control paperwork and forward to appropriate recipients
• Check packaging for integrity of seals, dates, vacuum, and proper caddie and case counts
• Communicate with PMO and supervisor on quality issues
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Follow GMP/HACCP procedures
• Perform pre-operational sanitation inspections daily
• Perform micro swab procedures
• Assist with other tasks as assigned
• Use calculator and read ruler
• Work environment: stand on concrete, ambient temperatures
• Physical requirements: hand/eye coordination, walk/stand 100% of shift
• Personal protective equipment: safety shoes as needed

Qualifications

• Knowledge of common QC techniques and procedures
• Intermediate level math and writing skills
• Intermediate level communication skills
• Ability to test and read scales
• Ability to neatly and accurately complete paperwork
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Strong organizational skills
• Flexible work schedule between Production and Quality
• Ability to use various software programs, computers and iPads
• Ability to obtain HACCP certification
• Ability to care for lab equipment
• Must be 18 years old to apply and not currently enrolled in high school

Schedule

This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.
