Technician I/Mechanic
The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for a Technician I/Mechanic in the Fleet Services department. The incumbent performs skilled repair and maintenance of light and heavy automotive equipment with gasoline or diesel engines, including cars, trucks, tractors and construction equipment.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent with previous experience in automotive maintenance and repair required.
- E-1: Must possess a valid Oklahoma drivers license and be insurable.
- E-3: Must obtain or possess ASE certification in 5 categories within the first year of employment.
- E-5: Must obtain or possess ASE certification in 7 categories.
- Commercial driver license preferred.
Benefits
This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening. Starting Salary: $20.2362-$21.4269/hr. w/Benefits depending on ASE certifications.
