Technician I -Logistics
Job Summary
The Technician I - Logistics will provide shipping, receiving and inventory maintenance support.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Packaging, labeling, and tagging warehouse inventory.
- Completing and logging daily activities including: receiving, shipping, stocking, tooling, auditing, issuing all materials, and completing special assignments.
- Conducting cycle-counts of inventory and managing daily logs.
- Entering material into IES Inventory database.
- Loading and unloading goods and supplies and ensuring proper handling of the same.
- Maintaining warehouse quality by keeping track of all damaged inventory and reporting it in a timely manner.
- Completing other responsibilities as assigned.
- Operating both forklifts and company vehicles.
- Working in accordance with 5S organization and Lean principles.
- Efficiently carrying out all task assignments.
Qualifications
- Regular attendance is mandatory.
- Entry-level knowledge of operating warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Self-motivated, positive approach, professional, and helps create, develop, and implement project process improvements.
- Promotes the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
- Prefer familiarity with cycle-counting, order picking, shipping, receiving, and operating a forklift.
- Able to work at heights, off of a ladder, and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and move up to 75 pounds.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Meets Company minimum driving standards.
- Able to use power tools.
- Physical agility to conduct warehouse inventory.
- Knowledge of 5S and Lean environments a plus.
Education, Certification, License, And Skill Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
- Basic understanding of operating systems (SAP, Spectrum).
- Intermediate skill level using Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Meets Company minimum driving standards.
- Able to use power tools.
- Physical agility to conduct warehouse inventory.
