Job Summary

The Technician I - Logistics will provide shipping, receiving and inventory maintenance support.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Packaging, labeling, and tagging warehouse inventory.
• Completing and logging daily activities including: receiving, shipping, stocking, tooling, auditing, issuing all materials, and completing special assignments.
• Conducting cycle-counts of inventory and managing daily logs.
• Entering material into IES Inventory database.
• Loading and unloading goods and supplies and ensuring proper handling of the same.
• Maintaining warehouse quality by keeping track of all damaged inventory and reporting it in a timely manner.
• Completing other responsibilities as assigned.
• Operating both forklifts and company vehicles.
• Working in accordance with 5S organization and Lean principles.
• Efficiently carrying out all task assignments.

Qualifications

• Regular attendance is mandatory.
• Entry-level knowledge of operating warehouse machinery and equipment.
• Self-motivated, positive approach, professional, and helps create, develop, and implement project process improvements.
• Promotes the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
• Prefer familiarity with cycle-counting, order picking, shipping, receiving, and operating a forklift.
• Able to work at heights, off of a ladder, and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and move up to 75 pounds.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Meets Company minimum driving standards.
• Able to use power tools.
• Physical agility to conduct warehouse inventory.
• Knowledge of 5S and Lean environments a plus.

Education, Certification, License, And Skill Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
• Basic understanding of operating systems (SAP, Spectrum).
• Intermediate skill level using Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Meets Company minimum driving standards.
• Able to use power tools.
• Physical agility to conduct warehouse inventory.
