Technician I -Logistics

About the role

The Technician I - Logistics will provide shipping, receiving and inventory maintenance support.

Responsibilities

• properly package, label and tag warehouse inventory
• complete and log daily activities including: receiving, shipping, stocking, tooling, auditing, issuing all materials and completing special assignments
• conduct cycle-counts of inventory and manage daily log
• enter material into IES Inventory database
• load and unload goods and supplies and ensure proper handling of the same
• maintain warehouse quality by keeping track of all damaged inventory and reporting it in a timely manner
• complete other responsibilities as assigned
• may require operating both forklifts and company vehicles
• work in accordance with 5S organization and Lean principles
• efficiently carry out all task assignments

Requirements

• Regular attendance is mandatory
• Entry level knowledge of operating warehouse machinery and equipment
• Self‑motivated, positive, professional; able to help create, develop and implement process improvements
• Promote company culture and mission to employees, vendors, clients and partners
• Familiarity with cycle‑counting, order picking, shipping, receiving and forklift operation (preferred)
• Ability to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces; lift up to 50 lb and move up to 75 lb
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Meet company minimum driving standards
• High school diploma or GED equivalency
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a warehouse environment
• Basic understanding of operating systems (SAP, Spectrum)
• Intermediate skill level with Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to use power tools
• Physical agility to conduct warehouse inventory
• Knowledge of 5S and Lean environments (a plus)
• No specific license required; minimum education: high school diploma or GED

Pay

Minimum USD $20.00/Hr – Maximum USD $24.00/Hr
