Technician I - Fire Equipment Install - First Shift/Early Start Times - Kitchen Suppression Systems & Extinguishers

About the Role

We are seeking a Technician II to install and service fire equipment, including commercial cooking fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers, for our customers. This full-time position requires working nights for the first 6-12 months of training, with possible early morning shifts Monday through Friday. Paid on-call availability is also required.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial cooking fire suppression systems (Kitchen Suppression/Hood Systems - Ansul and more)
• Use basic tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, wire cutters, and splicing tools
• Perform maintenance and service on fire extinguishers
li>Use active listening skills to understand customer and internal team needs, ask questions, and offer solutions
• Solve complex problems using mathematical skills, analysis, and professional communication
• Manage time efficiently

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Level 1 Illinois Fire Extinguisher License (to be obtained upon hire)
• Level 2 Kitchen Suppression License (to be obtained upon hire)
• Regular and dependable attendance
• Relevant work experience

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, kneel, bend, squat, balance, reach, and perform overhead work for several hours
• Lift or move approximately 50 pounds per day, with occasional lifting up to 150 pounds
• Reliable sight, hearing, verbal communication, and touch

Qualifications

HS Diploma or equivalent is required.

Pay

This is an hourly role starting between $28-$32 per hour for an experienced Technician. Additional compensation includes on-call pay, overtime hours, and commission.
