Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance work.
  • Work independently and in a team environment on physically demanding technical tasks.
  • Apply mechanical techniques and cleaning procedures to rebuild sub-assemblies and mainframe vacuum systems.
  • Use and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist senior technicians in verification testing of equipment upon completion of preventive maintenance (PM).
  • Utilize training materials, aids, and certification requirements to meet personal improvement goals.
  • Use process measurement data to assess the quality of completed PM tasks.
  • Provide input for developing and optimizing equipment preventive maintenance schedules.

Requirements

  • AS technical degree, electronics, or Military electronics certificate preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of work-related experience/training preferred; education may substitute for experience.
  • Practical knowledge of electronics, mechanics, vacuum theory, safety, clean room protocol, and IC Fabrication.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and ability to learn operational concepts of systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, flow charts, and cause-and-effect diagrams.
  • Ability to set up, operate, and interpret output from test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, digital volt-ohm meters, current/voltage sources, chart recorders).
  • Travel time: 0% - 25%.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift, push, pull, and carry approximately 50 lbs.
  • Sit: 5%, Stand: 60%, Walk: 35%.
  • Exposure to bending, carrying, climbing, crawling, crouching, dust/gases, electrical hazards, fumes/odors, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mechanical hazards, noise/vibration, poor ventilation, pulling, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping, and other physical demands.

Skills

  • Electronics and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Vacuum theory and clean room protocol.
  • Interpretation of technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Operation of diagnostic test equipment.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $19–$27/hour, dependent on job location, skills, and experience.

Schedule

Front Nights (B): Every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday, 7:00 PM – 7:12 AM.
