Technician I - Chemical Processing and Materials Quality Control (Weekday Overnight)
About the role

The Technician I - Chemical Processing and Materials Quality Control (Weekday Overnight) is responsible for formulating and delivering reagents to internal production departments, using analytical equipment to ensure reagent quality, and safely handling hazardous materials.
Responsibilities
- Follow current standard operating procedures for formulation, storage, and transportation of all mixtures and reagents required for production.
- Use a variety of analytical and sample handling equipment to perform quality control on raw materials, mixtures, and formulations.
- Change waste containers and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with Federal and DOT regulations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED with 18+ months of lab experience OR Associates of Arts/Science degree with 1+ year lab experience.
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling procedures and protocols.
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lbs.
- Ability to wear a full-face air purifying respirator.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Hazwoper 24 hr -Technician Certification is a plus.
- ERP systems experience is a plus.
Skills
- Knowledge of analytical equipment.
- Safe chemical handling procedures.

Pay
The hourly range for this role is $23.08 - 30.53. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
Schedule
This position reports to the Manager of Chemistry and Materials Quality Control and is part of the Chemical Processing Team located in San Diego. The position is an on-site role.
