Responsibilities
- Design and prepare outside plant work orders and associated drawings, including documentation and accurate record updates
- Provide estimates for work order expenditures and prepare placement, as well as joint use memos
- Cookordinate with drafting and GIS personnel in remote offices to produce construction drawings for the network
- Plan, design, and obtain permits for new cable routes
- Design aerial and underground telecommunications plant routes
- Designate other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- A High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- At least two years of Telecom Outside Plant Engineering experience
- Proficient with Excel and Word
- Knowledge of Telecommunications industry standards
- Regulations for OSP facilities
- Aerial or underground construction methods and engineering requirements
- Infrastructure plans and surveys to avoid conflicts with underground obstacles to ensure proper installation in easements and public rights of way
- Government permit requirements
- Fiber optic counts, assignments, and splicing schematics in high-density environments
- AutoCAD/Microstation or Geographic Information Systems

- Physical Abilities & Exposures: Routinely operate vehicle, walk, use keyboard and mouse; Occasionally climb stairs and stand
