Technician Engineering Field

About the role

The Field Inspector drives to various job sites to observe work for quality and works with customers to ensure understanding of the work being accomplished.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company-owned vehicle
• Communicate professionally with the public
• Manage several different projects simultaneously
• Inspect work performed by Fugal crews to ensure quality
• Apply knowledge of NESC Standards
• Apply knowledge of aerial and underground telecom construction principles

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional) with an acceptable driving record
• At least two years of related experience and/or training
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Knowledge of aerial or underground utilities, OSP facilities, construction techniques, and conduit records
• Understanding of easement, right-of-way, and permit documents

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: Work alone in remote locations, operate a vehicle, walk, use a keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: Climb stairs and stand
