Technician (Composite, Mechanical)

About the Role

Support a Fortune 500 Aero-Defense Company as a Composite/Mechanical Technician. Performs a variety of duties in composite development and experimental prototype fabrication and assembly.

MUST BE A US CITIZEN (ITAR REQUIREMENT).

Responsibilities

• Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains composite-related equipment, tooling, and prototype components.
• Works from composite lay-up schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
• Operates specialized fabrication equipment, conducts experimental builds, tests, and reports data in prescribed format.
• Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
• Prepares custom resin systems, hardeners, and curing solutions.

Excludes technicians working in production or quality-assurance environments.

Requirements

• US citizenship required (ITAR requirement).
• High school degree.
• Ability to obtain clearance.
• Experience with composite materials, resin systems, and techniques such as composite lay-up, fabrication, and testing.
