About The Role

Our client is a leading innovator in advanced aerospace and space technologies, developing next-generation systems that support some of the world’s most ambitious missions. They are seeking experienced Avionics Technicians to support the assembly, testing, integration, and repair of flight-grade electronic and mechanical hardware in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for candidates with aerospace, defense, avionics, electronics manufacturing, or other highly regulated production experience who enjoy hands-on technical work and contributing to complex, mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, integrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics and electromechanical hardware.
  • Perform board-level assembly, soldering, component replacement, and rework activities.
  • Fabricate, terminate, install, inspect, and test cable and wire harness assemblies.
  • Support development, test, and production builds of advanced aerospace systems.
  • Perform mechanical assembly using engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Apply torque requirements to hardware and assemblies.
  • Conduct inspections and certify work to applicable quality and manufacturing standards.
  • Apply and remove staking, potting, encapsulation, and conformal coatings.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and assembly methods.
  • Maintain compliance with ESD, safety, and tool accountability requirements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in avionics, aerospace manufacturing, electronics assembly, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working in a production, manufacturing, flight hardware, or laboratory environment.
  • Experience with:
    • Cable and wire harness fabrication and installation
    • Soldering and board-level assembly
    • Mechanical assembly and hardware integration
    • Multimeters, power supplies, and other electronic test equipment
  • Familiarity with ESD-controlled environments and tool control processes.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of aerospace, defense, launch vehicle, or spaceflight manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with PCBA repair, CCA rework, or component-level troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001, or IPC 7711/7721 standards.
  • Experience with high-voltage systems, battery systems, RF assemblies, or power systems.
  • Experience documenting non-conformances and performing corrective repairs.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic work instruction systems.
