Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics and Repair: Diagnose issues with computer systems, laptops, tablets, and other electronic devices. Perform repairs, replacements, and upgrades to hardware and software components.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to customers, both in-store and remotely, to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Offer guidance on best practices for using and maintaining their devices.
  • Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and preventive measures to ensure optimal performance of devices. Keep detailed records of services performed and parts used.
  • Customer Service: Communicate clearly and effectively with customers to explain technical issues and the steps taken to resolve them. Provide accurate estimates for repair costs and timelines.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and organize parts inventory, ensuring that necessary components are available for repairs. Order replacement parts and supplies as needed.
  • Quality Control: Perform thorough testing of repaired devices to ensure they meet quality standards before returning them to customers. Maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism in all repairs.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs, services, and customer interactions. Use the store’s software systems to update customer files and track repair progress.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest technological advancements, repair techniques, and software updates. Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to enhance technical skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with sales associates and management to provide a seamless customer experience. Share knowledge and support team members in resolving complex technical issues.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a computer technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of computer systems and electronic devices.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are preferred but not required.
