Technician
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure equipment is functional and operational
- Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair
- Replace system components as assigned; panels, audible/visual alarms, etc.
- Provide technical support to customers including, remote phone diagnosis, and troubleshooting of signal issues related to formats and receivers
- Interact professionally with customers
- Cookordinate with Manager and dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently
- Inform dispatcher and or manager the status of service to take appropriate action
- Perform test and inspect fire alarm systems
- Maintains assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment
Basic Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of experience with servicing fire alarm systems or NICET II
- Valid Driver Licenses and acceptable driving record
- Basic knowledge of national and local alarm codes including NFPA 72, NEC, & Florida Building Code
- Must be able to demonstrate responsibility in being on time, regular consistent work attendance, good communication and completing all necessary field documentation as needed
- The ability to carry and climb step/extension ladders where needed and lift objects up to 50 pounds when needed
- Must be able to demonstrate basic computer/tablet skills

Pay
$25 to $$40 an hour depending on experience
