Technician
About the role
At National Seating and Mobility, the Technician plays a key role in delivering mobility solutions—including wheelchairs and positioning systems—to clients. You’ll collaborate with the Branch Manager, Rehab Technology Specialist, and Office Manager/Customer Service Representative to ensure timely order, receipt, assembly, and delivery of products while embodying NSM’s HEARTS values: Honor, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, Teamwork, and Service.
NSM serves clients with unique mobility needs, offering 360-degree Complex Mobility Solutions such as custom power wheelchairs, home safety modifications, and equipment servicing. Responsibilities
- Respond to service calls and perform quality repairs in various settings, including branches, clinics, schools, and care homes.
- Assemble seating, mobility, specialty ADL (Activities of Daily Living), and home accessibility equipment according to factory and clinical specifications.
- Maintain inventory control and conduct counts for custom, special orders, and stock items processed in the branch.
- Deliver equipment as directed, including fitting, instruction, compliance, and customer service support.
- Provide technical support to Rehab Technology Specialists as needed under operational leadership.
Requirements
- Able to lift 50 pounds (with or without accommodation).
- Valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate.
