POSITION SUMMARY
The Remediation Technician is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to build a career in the restoration industry. This position works alongside experienced technicians and leaders to learn the fundamentals of mold remediation, demolition, and job site operations. The technician supports day-to-day activities on job sites while developing the skills necessary to perform restoration work safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Job Site Tasks
- Perform assigned restoration tasks as directed by technicians or supervisors
- Absorb and assist with job site setup, cleanup, and maintaining an organized work area
- SOP & Safety Compliance
- Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times
- Demolition Assistance
- Perform basic demolition tasks under supervision using hand and power tools
- Remove debris and prepare affected areas for restoration work
- Equipment Handling
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials
- Assist with setting up and breaking down drying equipment as instructed
- Warehouse & Vehicle Maintenance
- Clean and organize company vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Ensure all materials are properly stored and ready for use
- Customer Presence
- Maintain a professional appearance and respectful behavior on job sites
- Follow direction when interacting with customers
- Attendance & Work Habits
- Arrive on time and ready to work each day
- Follow instructions, complete assigned tasks, and demonstrate a willingness to learn
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong willingness to learn and grow within the restoration industry
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Basic knowledge or interest in construction, plumbing, or restoration preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to pass an IICRC certification exam (not required)
- Strong customer service skills with a desire to help people in difficult situations
