Technician

About the role

This position involves fabricating a variety of orthotic and prosthetic devices under the guidance of clinicians. Tasks include adjusting and repairing devices, using hand tools like band saws, drill presses, and heat guns, and fitting prefabricated orthoses such as cervical orthoses and pressure gradient hoses.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication and repair of orthotic and prosthetic devices
• Order and receive inventory items as needed
• Fit and deliver prefabricated orthoses as directed
• Provide patient education on product use and maintenance
• Contact vendors for orthotic fabrication materials

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and adherence to Hanger’s safety policies
• Technical training or 2 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of hand tools and mechanical abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Teamwork and integrity
