Job Title: Injection Molding Technician Industry: Manufacturing Location: Corning NY Shift: Days, 5 days per week, approx. 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 100% onsite Top 3 Skills Hands-on injection molding machine operation Process monitoring and parameter adjustment during experimental and production runs Troubleshooting and routine maintenance of molds, molding machines, and auxiliary equipment What You'll Do Set up and configure injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and molds to match experimental plans Run and monitor machines during experimental and production runs, adjusting the process as the run progresses Diagnose and fix machine malfunctions and molding defects Perform routine maintenance on molds, machines, and auxiliary equipment to keep downtime low Document machine settings, experimental data, and maintenance work accurately Follow all safety protocols and procedures on the floor What We Need From You 1+ year of hands-on experience operating injection molding machines Experience identifying and correcting molding defects or machine issues Mechanical aptitude for hands-on equipment and mold work Ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods Local to the site and able to work onsite 5 days a week Preferred / Bonus 2 to 5 years of injection molding experience Injection molding machine setup and troubleshooting experience Mold assembly experience Experience molding optical components SolidWorks CAD drafting Technical report writing High school diploma or associate degree in manufacturing, plastics technology, or a related field
