About the role

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing, assembling, and supporting testing of hardware for various spaceflight systems.
  • Supporting production and development related activities that directly affect rocket launch vehicles and spacecraft.
  • Working directly with flight hardware for various spaceflight systems.
  • Delivering the TeraWave network on time and at scale, ensuring quality is built into every phase of development.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in aerospace or related fields.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in wet/dry installing of hi loc/hi lite, blind rivet, solid rivets type fasteners.
  • Experience using standard mechanical tools, precision measuring devices and fabrication shop equipment.
  • Experience torquing fluid and pneumatic fittings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as a team.
  • Experience drilling precision holes in a variety of materials (aluminum, composite, titanium).
  • Excellent demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate differing opinions in a collaborative environment without conflict among other team members.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and vehicle integration (desired).
  • A&P license or equivalent experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and integration (desired).
  • Experience with assembly in a clean room environment (desired).
  • Experience handling/installing ESD sensitive components (desired).
  • Experience in structural/component bonding, including material preparation and adhesive mixing (desired).
  • Experience with orbital tube welding and/or composite structure fabrication (desired).
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware (desired).
  • Working knowledge of a variety of rocket propellants, including liquid oxygen/liquid hydrogen and liquid nitrogen (desired).
  • Knowledge in the use of 3-D CAD tools (desired).

Special Mentions

  • Relocation provided.
  • Travel expected up to 5% of the time.
  • Shifts available: A Shift (5 AM to 3:30 PM).
  • Interviews will include a technical assessment.

Pay

Base Pay Range For WA applicants is $36.60 - $51.23. Other site ranges may differ.
