About the role
As a Garage Door Technician at Precision Garage Door Service, you’ll receive training so you can be up and running quickly with your own company vehicle and stream of customers. We provide all the necessary tools and support to grow your career as far as you want to take it. You’ll help customers by repairing, replacing, and installing garage doors, explaining service options, and ensuring the job is done correctly.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair garage doors, door operators, and replace worn or broken parts
- Install new garage doors and related equipment
- Replace springs and other components as needed
- Educate customers on repair options and preventive measures
- Sell services and new equipment using a good/better/best model
- Collect payment from customers
- Manage inventory in your vehicle to ensure you have the right tools and products

Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and technical skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently
- Ability to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliability and adherence to company processes
- Basic computer and tablet proficiency
- Ability to use hand tools and operate mechanical equipment

Pay
During your 90-day training period, you will receive a base pay of $XX.XX per hour. After training, you will earn commissions on completed work. Most technicians make between $60,000 and $100,000 per year.
