Technician Apprentice

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of low voltage systems
  • Learn trade skills through hands on experience and classroom training

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid drivers' license required
  • Willingness to enter a state approved Low Voltage apprenticeship program, and complete all associated school coursework
  • Security Clearance required
  • Basic understanding of construction practices and job site safety
  • Basic understanding of low voltage systems as described herein, a plus
  • OSHA safety awareness preferred (training will be provided)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in technical/low voltage work
  • Ability to follow wiring diagrams and technical instructions to complete installations and repairs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Project Manager, Project Supervisors, and clients
  • Willingness to work in various environments (Healthcare, education, Prison/detention centers, etc.)
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely
  • Must be able to work off hours if/when projects require it (second and third shift)

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 preferred

Compensation

$22/hour
