Technician 1- HVAC

About the role

You’ll be based out of our Chicago (Lemont), IL service center and can expect daily local travel in your company vehicle. The role involves field work, with opportunities for overtime, weekends, and potential travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, handling repairs as needed.
• Set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites, working independently or as part of a team.
• Calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and read and interpret schematics.
• Obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card based on customer requirements.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 2–5 years of experience working on electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
• Offshore work may be required.

Pay

Hourly range: $33.00–$44.00.
