Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs, and policies using specialized knowledge and skills.
- Coach and review the work of professionals within the team.
- Maintain controlled documents in accordance with organizational policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Build productive internal/external working relationships and solve problems of moderate scope.
- Manage technical writer members under effective quality, cost, and delivery aspects.
- Coordinate with HR group and other disciplines to develop and control skill versatility matrix with grading scales.
- Develop and drive metrics to meet production needs.
- Develop and foster employee skills and teamwork.
- Create process documentation that clearly and efficiently communicates concepts, ideas, and instructions.
- Translate verbal information into clearly written procedures.
- Create technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Have strong computer skills, including advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook).
- Coordinate with disciplines to establish the workflow of document management.
- Understand and draw conceptual design of the actual document control system.
Requirements
- Basic/Required: BA/BS degree in technical writing, engineering, draft, or related field.
- Preferred: None.
- Essential Qualifications:
- 10 years pertinent experience.
- 5 years supervisory experience directly in technical writing.
- Experience creating technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment.
- Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
- Strong computer skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against production deadlines and goals.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
- Alignment to Panasonic’s seven (7) core principles.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
