Technical Writer Manufacturing and Service Engineering

Location: Woodridge, IL, USA, 60517. Employment type: Temporary Full‑Time.

Responsibilities

• Creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation such as user manuals, technical specifications, service methods, repair times, interactive schematics, and help guides for products developed by the company.
• Working closely with service engineering, engineering, manufacturing, compliance, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy of technical documentation.
• Organizing, managing, and maintaining a repository of technical documents, ensuring all technical documentation adheres to established style guidelines and is written in clear and concise language for both technical and non‑technical users.
• Creating technical illustrations to support written content when required.
• Performing editorial duties such as copy editing, proofreading, and fact‑checking to ensure the accuracy and clarity of all documentation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of experience creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation.
• 3‑5 years of experience organizing, managing, and maintaining a technical document repository.
• 3‑5 years of experience creating technical illustrations to support written content.
• 3‑5 years of experience using Arbortext software.
