Technical Writer / Analyst

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain user guides, configuration documents, and system design artifacts.
• Create and update test plans, SOPs, release notes, and deployment packages.
• Apply document standards and version control to ensure consistency and traceability.
• Cook up documentation in coordination with engineers, testers, and stakeholders to capture accurate technical content.
• Support timely delivery of required documentation in alignment with program schedules.
• Ensure all documentation meets government standards and audit requirements.
• Implement configuration management practices to maintain document integrity.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes and standards.

Requirements

• Clearance: Active Secret clearance required
• Bachelor's degree in Writing, Editing, or something relatable
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing and documentation development
• Extensive experience creating SOPs, user guides, and end user facing documentation for federal agencies
• Proven expertise in developing technical documentation compliant with government standards

Skills

• Experience with 508 compliance in documentation
• Background in supporting FBI or other federal agencies
• Strong understanding of document standards
• Ability to work collaboratively with operational and development teams
