Technical Writer | $60/hr Remote

About the role

Contract position for a Technical Writer. Compensation ranges from $30 to $60 per hour. Remote work with a commitment of 10 to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Design and author expert-level evaluation tasks using realistic technical data.
• Create and curate source material, including product specifications and code samples.
• Define solution criteria and expected outputs for technical problem-solving assignments.
• Develop comprehensive grading rubrics assessing agent outputs on accuracy and precision.
• Draft diverse documentation tasks representative of authentic industry challenges.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads to refine deliverables.

Requirements

• Strong relevant experience in software, hardware, medical devices, or regulated industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in producing precise, testable technical documentation and instructions.
• Advanced skill in structured authoring and adherence to style guides.
• Exceptional written English skills with control of tone and technical register.
• Strong analytical and synthesis abilities to transform complex source material into clear guidance.
