Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience delivering hands‑on technical training in a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders including employees, management, and customers.

Willingness to expand training knowledge to content applicable to all areas of Archbald Operations.

Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.

Must be able to obtain a Secret DoD security clearance (clearance not required prior to start).

Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS).

Job Description

You will be a Technical Training Supervisor, leading our new technical training group supporting the Archbald, PA facility. Our team specializes in designing, manufacturing, and engineering electronic assemblies, machined and welded assemblies/parts, and safety-critical systems for various defense and commercial applications.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Plan, develop, and maintain comprehensive training curricula for work areas such as electrical and mechanical production, inspection, and material‑handling processes.
  • Create lesson plans, instructor guides, hands‑on demonstration modules, and supporting training aids.
  • Maintains instructor certification ensuring site meets customer contract requirements.
  • Deliver high‑impact instructor‑led sessions and oversee virtual/blended delivery as required.
  • Schedule training to meet production line demands, ensuring optimal utilization of facilities, equipment, and learning management system (LMS) resources.
  • Track, trend, and report training compliance, effectiveness metrics, and ROI to senior leadership.
  • Keep training documentation current by managing training assignments and records for all Archbald employees.
  • Conduct gap analyses and update materials to reflect product changes, engineering revisions, and new regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all training programs comply with with all relevant standards such as DoD, AS9100, IPC, MIL‑STD, ISO 14644, OSHA/ESH, NASA.
  • Participate in internal audits, change‑control processes, and corrective‑action initiatives related to training.
  • Partner with production managers, engineering, quality, and supply‑chain teams to identify training needs and prioritize curriculum updates.
  • Influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority to secure resources and support for training initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging training technologies and incorporate best‑in‑class instructional methods.
  • Lead lessons‑learned sessions and drive process improvements across the training function.
  • Support other LM sites, as needed.

Note

This is a 1st shift position in Archbald, PA. As our operations expand, we anticipate implementing alternate shifts and work location(s). Applicants must be willing to support occasional training activities on off shift schedules and/or at other local facilities.

Desired Skills

  • Prior experience with hands‑on, demonstration‑based training.
  • Prior experice developing training plans across multi-functional operations and supporting a growing trainee base.
  • Knowledge of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and adult learning theory.
  • Prior experience with electrical assembly, circuit card assembly, cable & harness assembly, material handling practices and equipment.
  • Prior experience leading a team.
  • Strong organizational, time‑management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, MIL-STD's, IPC‑610, J‑STD‑001, internal LM workmanship documents, ISO 14644, OSHA/ESH regulations.
  • Certified in J-Std-001,IPC 600, IPC 610, and/or IPC 620.
  • Familiarity with Atlas Learning.
  • Experience evaluating and deploying new training technologies (AR/VR, e‑learning platforms).
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills; ability to influence others without direct authority.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational, time‑management, and multitasking abilities in a dynamic environment.
