Technical Trainer - Reciprocating Compressors

About the role

Customer Technical Trainer responsible for delivering advanced training on reciprocating compressors to customers across North America.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging technical training sessions (on-site and virtual)
• Adapt certified training programs to meet North American standards (API, ASME)
• Plan, execute, and support regional training initiatives
• Manage training administration, reporting, and participant assessments
• Continuously improve training content and maintain technical expertise
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure content relevance

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Mechanical or Energy Engineering or related field
• Over 10 years of technical experience in reciprocating gas compressors
• At least 3 years of experience as a technical trainer or in a similar role
• Proficiency in training methods (virtual, classroom, e-learning)
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and time-management skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and skilled in digital training tools

Additional Details

Supports a collaborative, inclusive environment. Position involves 50% travel within the U.S. and periodic international travel. Hybrid work location in Houston when not traveling.
