Technical Theater Student Assistant

About the role

Seeking a student employee to assist in the support of theater events, working with light and sound equipment, and other miscellaneous theatre duties including prop and costume shop maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with event leads regarding setup and support.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of fundamental theater equipment.
• Maintain organization of workspace and equipment.
• Notify supervisor(s) of any equipment or device needs.
• Provide technical assistance for events in the Lyons theatre.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Basic Computer Proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in technical theatre
• Knowledge of tool safety

Pay

$13.73 per hour

Schedule

Up to 20 hours per week
