Technical Tax Operations Lead

For a leader in the Enterprise Technology space, we are seeking a Technical Tax Operations Lead to drive operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. This role offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a technology-driven environment.

About the role

You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate customer onboarding files and tax setup information
• Identify and resolve data quality issues before deployment
• Analyze large data loads for errors and compliance issues
• Troubleshoot file processing and data integration concerns
• Coordinate customer testing and production cutover activities
• Support daily processing and technical readiness for customers
• Document issues to enhance knowledge base and standard operating procedures

Qualifications

• 7+ years in payroll, tax, finance, or HR tech support
• Experience analyzing XML, CSV, TXT, and JSON files
• Proficiency in relational data structures and configuration management
• Familiarity with ACH, NACHA, and payment processing concepts preferred
• Skilled in troubleshooting complex software implementations
• Experience with API support, integrations, and data imports
• Ability to manage escalated technical support incidents

Pay

$110,000 – $130,000 annually
