Technical Support Engineer

Position Overview dormakaba is seeking a Technical Support Engineer based in Reamstown, PA or Indianapolis, IN. The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical product support for mechanical products produced and marketed by dormakaba to the end-user and is also responsible for effective communication with internal and external customers when making recommendations and solving problems. HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $55,000 - $75,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) What You Will Do Consult with appropriate field personnel to provide support, updates, and documentation, as well as to assess the on-going effectiveness of the support structureApply comprehensive knowledge of product capabilities to develop customer-focused solutions, support specialized applications, and drive recommendations for product enhancements and innovationReceive and coordinate efforts to respond to specific technical product concerns from the field, acting as a liaison between various functional areas as neededDemonstrate strong analytical, research and reasoning abilities in evaluating products and applications via phone, text, and video in the field for unusual product wear, attack indications, or failureUse good judgment, to balance the needs of the customer and corporate when authorizing replacement products for warranty issues What we require High School diploma or equivalent3+ years’ related industry experience Proven track record of exemplary service delivery Excellent language and communication skills What we prefer Technical and/or sales experience with dormakaba products and other access control products What we offer Taking Care of our Employees on Day One with Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance coverage options.
