About the role

Since 1982, NIC Components (NIC), in partnership with Nippon Industries Co. Ltd., has been a global solutions provider in passive components to fuel the designs of technology and engineering organizations. As a leader in passive component technology, NIC’s offerings of passive components — including a wide range of capacitors, circuit protection products, inductors, magnetics, resistors, and RF products — are built to meet the challenges of modern electronics design. The Technical Support Associate is an entry-level, engineering-adjacent role supporting both technical and marketing functions within NIC’s technical product marketing group (TPMG). The primary responsibilities center around collecting, organizing, and maintaining parametric data across NIC’s product portfolio, as well as assisting in the creation and upkeep of technical documentation and web-based product content (e.g., datasheets, website parametric search tools). This position is ideal for recent graduates in Electrical or Computer Engineering who are interested in component-level electronic design, and who want exposure to how engineering data is translated into customer-facing technical resources. It also offers the opportunity to work with colleagues and suppliers worldwide. This is a hybrid role based in our Long Island, NY office, with a combination of office and home working. Location: US-NY-Melville New York (Quad). Time type: Full time.
