Job Description

Job Title: Staff Validation Engineer
Location: Chandler, Arizona

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute detailed validation plans for new designs, including defining test requirements, creating test fixtures, and selecting appropriate equipment.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to understand architectures and identify critical performance parameters.
  • Perform bench-level testing and characterization, analyzing performance across various operating conditions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug new ICs to identify root causes of failures and work with the design team to implement solutions.
  • Document validation results and provide comprehensive reports, including recommendations for product improvements.
  • Support the creation of datasheets and application notes by providing accurate performance data.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide validation perspectives to ensure product quality and reliability.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of hands-on experience in validation or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductors (Op-Amp, Comparator, DigiPOT, Temp sensor, SAR ADC, Delta-Sigma ADC, Pipeline ADC, etc.) and their applications.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, Audio Precision, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and automated test equipment NI PXIe.
  • Experience with scripting and automation of test processes (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
