Job Summary
Toshiba International Corporation is seeking a Regional Technical Specialist to join the UPS Regional Sales Team. This role involves enhancing customer loyalty and facilitating new sales through technical presentations, design reviews, and application design assistance. The Regional Technical Specialist supports both new and existing accounts, reporting to the UPS National Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Support sales by building rapport with data center users, designers, builders, and influencers.
- Become a trusted adviser to data center accounts.
- Conduct technical presentations to the market, including lunch and learns, seminars, webinars, and conference talks.
- Serve as a front-line contact for technical UPS accounts.
- Ensure the technical needs and requests are addressed.
- Manage sophisticated opportunities during the conception, design, and engineering stages.
- Act as a technical liaison between strategic accounts and the Toshiba factory.
- Work closely with Product Managers and Application Engineers to advise on best solutions for a customer's application.
- Facilitate necessary webinars, conference calls, and joint sales calls to support the customer.
- Grow existing accounts by building rapport and detecting new opportunities within the account.
- Grow the customer base by building new relationships and engaging the Regional Sales Manager in the proposal stage.
- Grow personal skills and knowledge by studying new market trends, participating in educational opportunities, sales trainings, conferences, etc.
- Maintain CRM with account activities, projects, contacts, etc.
Skills And Experience
- 10+ years working in a UPS or Data Center engineering role.
- Ability to quickly articulate technical and business value propositions.
- Proficiency with technical report writing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including outstanding presentation skills.
- Self-reliant, adaptable, decisive, and professional, able to effectively multi-task in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding of UPS technology and the Data Center environment.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Preferred: Sales Engineering or account management experience.
