Technical Specialist / Patent Agent - Dallas, TX

About the role

Lathrop GPM is seeking a highly qualified Patent Agent or Technology Specialist to join our team in any of our offices across the US but with preference to Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated proficiency in patent searching and drafting patentability, freedom-to-operate, and other IP-related opinions.
• Support complex patent prosecution matters.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in high tech patent prosecution.
• An advanced degree in a relevant field such as electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, software Engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or another closely related technical field.
• Prior experience as a patent agent, or in a law firm or industry setting, is strongly preferred.

• An advanced degree is required.
