Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the requests and approvals of USSF space control systems.
- Aid in developing policy, guidance, and orders to USSF Field Commands.
- Participate in formulating, coordinating, and communicating USSF positions on joint matters, Joint Staff actions, and best military advice.
- Prepare senior USSF staff for participation in Joint Staff led forums.
- Provide strategic-level expertise in Space Force Exercises.
- Advise senior leadership in planning, developing, and coordinating exercise activities and events.
- Generate recommendations for new exercise-related programs, policies, doctrine, strategies, studies, and approaches.
- Interpret national level guidance and ensure its incorporation into USSF efforts.
- Inform USSF Best Military Advice by providing warfighting analysis, novel concepts, and expert decision support.
- Support ongoing development and changes to Space Staff's decision-making, stakeholder analyses, decision/risk management, exercise planning, and other tasks to support the division.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree plus a minimum of 10 years of experience in an Operations, Engineering, Scientific, Data Science, Software Programming, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analysis, Policy or Planning field, or equivalent experience/responsibility.
Additional Skills/Experience
- Expertise with space control operations and associated operational systems.
- Extensive familiarity with the headquarters request and approval processes for space control systems.
- Ability to research and draft talking points, briefing documents.
- Strong verbal, communication, and written skills; ability to create and edit written correspondence.
Computer Skills
- Skilled in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
- Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
