Technical Services Project Mgr
Clean Harbors in Independence, MO is seeking a Technical Services Project Manager to assist in growing TS revenues and profitability in the business lines of Clean Pack, drum, and bulk.
About the Role
The Technical Services Project Manager will scope out, inventory, profile, secure approvals, draft and review safety plans, and assess labor and equipment resources for opportunities requiring complex management and technical customer interaction. As needed, the Project Manager will lead the team responsible for executing projects to ensure completion that is safe, on budget, and exceeds customer expectations.

Responsibilities
- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Prepare quotes or bids to ensure all costs are recognized and quoted dollars meet required margins.
- Prepare profiles (internal and third-party) to manage materials found in the scope of work and secure appropriate approvals.
- Meet with customers to participate in job walks, understand the scope of work, and identify issues that may impact costs and execution.
- Work with Coordinators to schedule work and ensure availability of manpower and equipment resources.
- Lead the team executing the work to ensure it is completed efficiently and safely.
- Follow up on jobs with the operational team and customer to ensure work is completed satisfactorily, issues are resolved, invoices are processed, and payments are collected.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management based on the needs of the business.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience.
- High School diploma plus specialized training or 1 year of college required; Bachelor’s Degree with a science major (preferably with chemistry classes) preferred.
- Alternative combinations of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Past experience in Hazardous Waste management.
- 40 Hours OSHA and RCRA Training required.
- Class B CDL with Haz Waste Endorsement and High Hazard Training preferred.
- Leadership skills to manage a team of chemists/technicians.
- Strong computer, communication, and negotiating skills.
- Confidence in dealing with new people and situations.
- Knowledge of the WIN System and chemical compatibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- DOT knowledge and dispatching/logistics experience.
- Leadership and supervisory experience.
- RCRA/OSHA knowledge.

Pay
Recruiting pay range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year.
