Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Play a hands-on role in the safe transport and handling of hazardous waste materials across multiple customer sites.
- This is not a sit-behind-the-wheel role — our drivers are active contributors to each job from start to finish, including loading and unloading, container labeling, waste sorting, and completion of regulatory paperwork.
Pay
- Pay for this role starts at $25/hour, CDL drivers with experience can earn more depending on experience.
Schedule & Travel
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week; overtime is required.
- Overnight travel expected approximately 2 times per month (1–2 nights per trip).
A Day in the Life
- Arrive at the office and collect job paperwork.
- Offload truck from the previous day, if applicable.
- Load required supplies and equipment for the day's jobs.
- Drive to 2–5 customer sites throughout the day.
- Label drums, sort waste streams, and complete hazardous waste manifests at each stop.
- Load drums onto the truck and proceed to the next customer.
- Return to the office at end of day.
- Submit completed paperwork and assist with unloading the truck.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate semi-vans, roll-off trailers, and dump trailers safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Accurately label containers and complete all required hazardous waste documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Communicate professionally with customers at each stop.
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and compliance standards.
Education & Experience
- High-school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience.
- Valid CDL Class A license.
- Hazmat endorsement required.
