Hybrid role based in Paramus, NJ with approximately 30% travel.

We're seeking a Technical Sales Specialist with expertise in proteins and Performance & Active Nutrition to bridge science and business. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to customers, drive commercial growth, and help bring innovative protein solutions to market.
- Lead technical engagement with strategic customers
- Drive adoption of innovative protein ingredients
- Influence product innovation and go-to-market strategies
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, R&D, and Applications
- Make a visible impact in a high-growth nutrition category
Responsibilities
As Technical Sales Specialist, you will translate customer challenges into winning nutrition solutions while accelerating growth across the Performance & Active Nutrition portfolio.
- Provide technical and application support to customers and sales teams
- Lead customer discussions on ingredient functionality, formulations, and performance
- Support the launch and commercialization of new protein innovations
- Develop and deliver technical presentations, trainings, and product education
- Identify growth opportunities through value-based selling
- Share market insights and customer needs with Marketing, Product Management, and R&D
- Build strong relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders
- Use Salesforce to manage opportunities and customer projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in technical sales, applications, product development, or food technology
- Expertise in dairy proteins and functional ingredients
- Knowledge of Performance & Active Nutrition markets
- Strong customer-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to blend technical credibility with commercial acumen
