Summary

The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for expanding Powerex's market share in the medical piped equipment and laboratory markets through strategic partnerships with design engineers, distribution partners, and end users (healthcare facilities and laboratories). This role involves developing growth strategies, exceeding annual revenue targets, and providing educational presentations to stakeholders.

Essential Duties

  • Achieve annual territory revenue growth target
  • Cultivate strong relationships and ensure high level of customer satisfaction
  • Manage distribution network in assigned territory
  • Provide educational presentations to engineers, distributors, and contractors
  • Work with Design Engineers at Architecture and Engineering Firms on new construction specifications
  • Participate in continuous education and networking opportunities provided by industry trade organizations and partnerships
  • Routine travel throughout the assigned territory (approx. 25% of the time)

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • BS/BA undergraduate degree preferred
  • Technical or Engineering background preferred; experience working with Design Engineers preferred
  • 3-5+ years of Capital Equipment sales experience preferred; experience with Medical Gas Equipment, Compressed air systems, and/or Vacuum systems preferred
  • Medical gas testing experience, ASSE certification, NFPA 99 knowledge beneficial
  • Current experience supporting and managing customers in the territory preferred
  • Excellent communication, time, and territory management skills are a necessity
  • Familiarity with CRM software – ability to efficiently track and maintain sales data
  • Familiarity with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
