Technical Sales Manager - US & Canada

As a Technical Sales Manager, you will sit at the intersection of customer needs, technical solutioning, and commercial execution—owning complex sales cycles that translate into measurable business results. This is a hands-on, quota-carrying position for someone who thrives in structured, data-driven environments and is equally comfortable discussing avionics systems as they are negotiating contracts.
What You’ll Do
- Own and grow a defined portfolio of airline, operator, OEM, and partner accounts
- Build and execute account plans focused on expansion and retention
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales opportunities from qualification to close
- Translate operational challenges into clear technical and commercial solutions
- Partner with engineering and product teams to shape customer-driven offerings
- Maintain an accurate, data-driven pipeline and forecast in Salesforce
- Develop pricing strategies, proposals, and support contract negotiations
- Build credibility with technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, program, and customer teams
- Represent Teledyne at industry events and customer-facing engagements
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field. Advanced degree highly desired.
- 7+ years of aerospace/aviation sales experience
- Proven experience selling to airlines, business aviation operators, MROs, OEMs, or government aviation organizations
- Experience with avionics, aircraft systems, connectivity solutions, or aviation software products
- Established relationships with airline engineering, maintenance, and operations teams
- Strong technical sales acumen and ability to communicate complex concepts
- Proven ability to manage and close complex, long-cycle deals
- Structured, data-driven approach to pipeline and opportunity management
- Willingness to travel (~50%) and strong personal accountability – required

Pay
Salary range: $96,600.00 – $128,800.00. Actual compensation is determined based on factors including location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
