Technical Sales Manager - Long - Professional

Responsibilities

• Implements automation solutions for the revamping and new installation of control systems for Intelligent Guides in Long Products Rolling Mills.
• Works with the Service Group, Project Management, and Technical Departments.
• This position is in our Danieli USA headquarters located in Cranberry, PA.
• Tasks and Day-to-Day Activities in the role:
• Implement PLC based automation control systems that include motion control, advanced sensors, VFD drives, and actuators.
• Support existing installed systems.
• Complete sophisticated assignments requiring development of new and/or improved engineering techniques and procedures.
• Interface and communicate with local project team (project managers, engineers, support personnel) and internal experts as well as customers and suppliers to provide engineering solutions to technical issues and project-related matters.
• Conduct integrated testing and simulation of entire system before delivery to the end customer.
• Perform on-site commissioning and training as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Experience in automation and/or automation practices.
• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal (Mandatory).
• Experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT-3 (Desired).
• Experience commissioning electro-mechanical equipment in the Steel Industry (Desired).
• Demonstrates ability to apply engineering principles to the solution of design problems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent computer skills.
• Willingness to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel domestically to support commissioning projects.
• Willingness to travel internationally for training.
