Technical Sales Engineer (Wet Processes)

Responsibilities

  • Examine and analyze customers’ needs; review requirements, recommend appropriate solutions and provide proposals for products and services based upon a thorough understanding of system level requirements.
  • Perform field promotional work to sell and develop new business. Build relationships with key decision makers and influencers.
  • Demonstrate products/services and provide assistance in the best application of the product.
  • Capture and coordinate company technical services with Product Category leaders, applications and service support resources.
  • Capture and coordinate delivery and expedite requirements in collaboration with Inside Sales Department.
  • Capture and maintain sales pipeline through CRM and project coordination database.
  • Prepare price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates in compliance with company guidelines and subject to company approval.

Requirements

  • Experience working in the Semiconductor industry with process and equipment engineers responsible for wet etch, wet cleans, and chemical mechanical polishing.
  • Technical knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing process and the equipment and component sales process.
  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and semiconductor process experience related to wet cleaning, wet etch, and chemical mechanical polishing.
  • Education: Degree in chemistry or chemical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Comprehend customer requirements to the level that they can be articulated to colleagues within the organization.
  • Accurately assess customer needs and recommend the most appropriate product or service.
  • Guide, direct and respond to technical queries.
  • Provide timely and complete product and service quotations.
  • Negotiate and book sales for single and multiple unit orders.
  • Develop new business opportunities and work effectively with internal departments to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction possible.
  • Sort out complex problems – both sales and business operations, and use communications tools like .xls and .ppt to convey important messages.
  • Experience with CRM and an understanding of the technical sales process.

  • Proven track record in technical sales and customer relationship management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Skills

  • Technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with semiconductor equipment and component sales.
  • CRM proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle complex technical issues.
