Technical Sales Engineer - South East Hungary

About the role

As a Key Account Specialist at Kennametal, you'll combine your hands-on machining expertise with customer-facing responsibilities across Southeast Hungary. You'll be the technical expert who speaks the language of the shop floor, helping manufacturers optimize their cutting tool applications for turning, milling, and drilling operations. Your territory spans South East Budapest, Kecskemét, Békéscsaba, Szeged, Szolnok and Debrecen, where you'll build lasting relationships with key accounts. You'll diagnose machining challenges on-site and provide solutions that drive efficiency and precision. This role offers the perfect blend of technical problem-solving and business development in the manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers
• Promote the expansion of existing business relationships
• Identify and develop new sales potential
• Sell machinery equipment in close cooperation with machine manufacturers
• Consistently track offers
• Close cooperation with Engineering and Customer Service
• Determine technical parameters and performance data for quotations
• Conduct price negotiations independently
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports as well as plan and execute administrative activities
• Increase and ensure customer satisfaction
• Coordinate the operations of service technicians, also in adjacent sales areas
• Provide customer care and after-sales support

Requirements

• Technical training as a technician or master or engineer degree or equivalent
• Several years of experience in machining with CNC machines and modern tool systems (turning, milling, drilling)
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing strategies and production processes
• Good material knowledge
• Understanding of business contexts
• Outside service experience beneficial
• Secure and convincing appearance in key accounts
• Good PC knowledge (MS Office, CRM)
• Willingness to travel 100%
• Good command of English or German language
