Technical Sales Associate

About the role

The Technical Sales Associate supports American Chillers' sales team by handling inbound inquiries, preparing accurate quotes, entering orders, and providing customer support.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound leads, including website inquiries, RFQs, and quote requests
• Qualify each inquiry and follow up promptly
• Prepare accurate, professional quotes for chillers and options, using our pricing and specifications
• Enter accepted orders correctly and confirm details to ensure production and shipping execute efficiently
• Maintain the CRM, keeping all leads, quotes, and customer records current and complete
• Serve as a responsive point of contact for order status, lead times, and product questions
• Provide light marketing support, keeping product materials current and contributing occasional content

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Technical aptitude, comfortable with technical products, specifications, and numbers, able to learn about our equipment
• Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in quotes and orders
• Proficiency with computers and quick learning ability (CRM, quoting tools, Microsoft Office)
• A dependable, organized, and customer-focused work ethic
• Associates degree or higher in a business, technical, or engineering field
• Prior industrial, manufacturing, distribution, HVAC, or parts/counter-sales experience, or demonstrated ability to quickly grasp technical products
