Responsibilities
- Oversight and leadership of complex inspections of aircraft systems, production components, and support operations.
- Development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
- Validation of the proper installation and serviceability of operational components.
- Serving as the on-site Aviation Safety Official and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Capture, analysis, and documentation of process information to confirm compliance or identify deviations from standards.
- Providing expert feedback and training to customers and internal teams on quality standards and procedures.
- Maintenance and updating of comprehensive quality documentation and records.
- Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for identified issues.
- Leading quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentoring and training junior inspectors and support staff.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- 5+ Years experience in Quality Inspection or related field.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Advanced ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and documents.
- Substantial knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Products.
- Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerance (preferred).
- Experience drafting work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) (preferred).
- Experience with Network+, Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and/or A+ (preferred).
- Experience with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) or FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL) (preferred).
- Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and/or other measuring equipment.
- Experience in the aerospace or defense industry (preferred).
Essential Functions
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Standing for extended periods during inspections.
- Dexterity to handle small parts and use inspection tools.
- Ability to work in a noisy and potentially hazardous environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Pay
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $38.39 - $52.79. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
