Technical Projects Manager (Hybrid)
About the role
This person will provide primary oversight and coordination of projects with technological components undertaken by the college. They will also assist their supervisor with the development of project management policies and procedures and with the documentation of business processes from business areas throughout the campus in the form of both written narratives and process maps. Occasional travel to other Penn College campuses. Some evening and weekend work may be required to meet the needs of Information Technology Services.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical projects.
- Document and model business processes.
- Train students, staff, and faculty in the operation of computer applications and software products.
- Assist with the development of processes and procedures for project management.
- Create and maintain a business process library.
- Conduct risk assessments for projects.
- Administer the project management tool.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in project management, business architecture, IT, or related discipline, OR, equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Driver License, Valid and in State Valid Driver's License.
- ITIL Foundations v3 certified.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI PMP or similar management certification.
- CBA or similar business architecture certification.
- Five (5) years’ experience in managing technical projects.
- Proven history of successful project completion.
- Experience documenting and modeling business processes.
- Experience working with project management tools.
- Experience using TeamDynamix.
- Experience managing projects in an educational setting.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License.
- ITIL Foundations certified.
- PMP or similar project management certification.
- CBA or similar business architecture certification.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Sensitivity to the expectations of staff, faculty, students, and the administration.
- Commitment to continued professional development.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues.

Pay
The yearly salary range is $74,000 - $82,500.
Schedule
This position may qualify for a hybrid work arrangement after the successful completion of a probationary period for new hires. The specific minimum number of days required to be on-campus per week will be determined at a later date.
