About the role
The Technical Project Manager 3 will lead service delivery for MachineQ’s Computer Vision solutions, overseeing large-scale, multi-site deployments and driving operational excellence across field services, partners, and products.
Responsibilities
- Own MachineQ’s Computer Vision deployment strategy to ensure efficient and successful project outcomes.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale camera and vision intelligence implementations, including project architecture planning, resource management, field coordination, hardware movement, install execution, reporting, capacity forecasting, quality control, project closeout, and post-install support.
- Manage project scoping, design review, and planning from pre-sale customer engagement through first truck in field.
- Oversee day-to-day field operations once underway, ensuring schedule adherence, resolving risks and escalations, and optimizing vendor performance.
- Maintain and expand third-party installation partner relationships, ensuring performance, quality, continuity and scalability of field resources.
- Develop training enablement materials for technicians, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Computer Vision deployments and solutions, acting as the primary interface for MachineQ Operations across customers, internal teams, vendors, and solution provider partners.
- Develop and manage project plans, tracking milestones, dependencies, and performance metrics, with regular reporting to leadership and customers.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams on customer discovery, field research, design, implementation and usability insights to inform solution improvements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience managing complex, multi-site deployments involving wired and wireless technology infrastructure, networking, and camera systems, including oversight of vendors and field installation teams.
- Expert knowledge of IP and analog camera systems, ONVIF standards, video encoders/decoders, and cloud VMS platforms.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnets, VPNs, PoE, firewalls, QoS and video-related bandwidth considerations, and AI/ML, alongside industry familiarity with NVR/DVR/NAS and camera hardware ecosystems.
- Proven experience in field deployment leadership, supervising site surveys through full rollouts, system design validation (e.g., camera placement, cabling, coverage, FOV, lighting), and management of low-voltage contractors, electricians, and other installation vendors.
- Experience with state/local licensing requirements and compliance for security/alarm and low-voltage camera installations highly preferred.
- Domain experience in retail, QSR, hospitality, or similar distributed multi-location operational environments highly preferred.
- Experience with project management and related collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Salesforce is a plus.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with customers, teammates, and leadership while always maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
