Technical Project Manager - Part Time

Why This Role Exists

D&G is seeking a Technical Project Manager to provide focused planning, coordination, and execution oversight for D&G's multidisciplinary Federal Government logistics modeling and simulation effort. This role aligns technical workstreams to scope, schedule, dependencies, milestones, risks, and customer decision needs while keeping deliverables coordinated and ready for review. The role is intentionally part-time and concentrates on high-value project integration, control, and stakeholder coordination rather than day-to-day technical execution.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain the integrated project plan, schedule, milestones, dependencies, work packages, owners, and completion criteria.
• Monitor scope, schedule, staffing assumptions, and delivery commitments; identify variances and coordinate corrective action.
• Coordinate activities, dependencies, handoffs, and integration across operations research, M&S, data engineering, database architecture, and logistics SMEs.
• Facilitate technical working sessions and reviews, documenting decisions, actions, owners, and due dates.
• Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies with clear owners, mitigations, and escalation thresholds.
• Escalate critical issues and decisions with concise context, options, impacts, and recommended actions.
• Coordinate customer engagements, status reporting, technical and quality reviews, and deliverables to maintain visibility and support on-time delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Operations Research, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience managing or coordinating technical, analytical, engineering, software, data, or modeling and simulation projects.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum, SAFe, or comparable project/program management certification.
• Demonstrated experience managing integrated schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, reviews, and customer deliverables across multidisciplinary teams.
• Working knowledge of Federal Government contracting and project delivery, including scope control, deliverable management, and stakeholder reporting.
• Experience coordinating technical teams that include analysts, data engineers, software developers, architects, and operational SMEs.
• Strong technical communication, facilitation, organization, and executive-level status reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or other Federal Government logistics, modeling and simulation, operations research, data, or mission-analysis programs.

Location and Clearance

• Remote with 10% travel to client site in Washington, D.C. as needed.
• Must be able to attain a security clearance.
