About the role
This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. The goal is to build sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical project management of the RF component development projects for Blue’s Lunar Vehicles.
- Aid the RF Systems team in developing and maintaining technical, cost, and schedule baselines.
- Prepare for and support the execution of program reviews, including Lunar Permanence Senior Management.
- Develop robust plans meeting deliverables and manage key operating metrics - including technical, cost, schedule, and risk.
- Aid in developing RF Systems product roadmaps, including incorporating technologies to meet program milestones.
- Interface with external vendors and suppliers to manage RF hardware procurement, development schedules, and technical compliance.
- Provide technical leadership of the highest caliber, coordinating with IPTs and supporting Blue Origin business units.
- Maintain technical progress, requirements, budget, schedule, deliverables, and risks, reviewing recommendations for change with Lunar RF Systems and Vehicle Directors.
- Communicate progress to the leadership team through program management reviews, finance reviews, long-term forecasting business plans, and project deep dives.
- Utilize good engineering and business judgment to ensure the most efficient and effective product is designed, manufactured, procured, tested, qualified, and delivered.
- Collaborate with other RF Systems Technical Project Managers to establish operational best practices and streamline across the various IPTs.
Requirements
- Experience with MS Project, Jira, and Primavera P6.
- Minimum BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in relevant areas of engineering operations applied to spacecraft systems and environments.
- Experience with design/build/test project methodology, critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management, and Cost Account Management such as Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Strong team leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Pay
Compensation range for CA applicants is $130,706.00 - $182,987.70, CO applicants is $119,814.00 - $167,738.55, and WA applicants is $130,706.00 - $182,987.70. Other site ranges may differ.
